Here's who Jack Green is picking in his golf tips for this week's PGA Tour event in California.

Back to win: Justin Thomas

Thomas led after 54 holes at the Genesis last year were it not for his final-round 75, which relegated him to second.

The American finished T9 at this event a year earlier and is poised to make the breakthrough and win this time around.

Thomas is coming off a T3 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open last time out and has already won in 2020, triumphing at January’s Sentry Tournament of Champions.

The world No. 4 is a prolific winner, with nine victories in his last nine starts, and the most likely champion this week.

Each-way shout: Bubba Watson

Watson’s 12 career wins have come at just seven different courses, so he’s always worth backing at his favourite tracks.

Riviera is one of those. Watson has won this event on three occasions, all since 2014.

The American also arrives in California in great form, having finished T3 and T6 in his two starts in 2020.

This is a big price considering Watson’s formidable record and it’d be no surprise if contends yet again at Riviera on Sunday.

Outside shot: Kevin Na

Na has gone close at the Genesis on a few occasions, finishing third in 2011, fourth in 2017 and second in 2018.

That knack for getting into contention at Riviera bodes well for the Korean American, who has developed a killer instinct over the past year.

Na won twice on the PGA Tour in 2019, triumphing at the Charles Schwab Challenge in May and the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in October.

The 36-year-old has two top-20 finishes in his last three starts and is a great outside bet.
