Here's who Jack Green is picking in his golf tips for this week's FedEx Cup playoff event at TPC Boston.

Back to win: Xander Schauffele

Schauffele just needs a win to cap off an excellent season in which he has earned nine top-20 finishes in 13 starts.

The 26-year-old has six top-20s in seven events since the restart, including a T10 at the PGA Championship last time out.

Schauffele has previous in the FedEx Cup, having won the Tour Championship in 2017, and his victory in the 2018 WGC-HSBC Champions is further proof of his ability to win even the biggest events.

Currently ranking inside the top six in total shots gained, shots gained off the tee and scrambling on the PGA Tour, he has all the tools to claim victory at TPC Boston.

Each-way shout: Patrick Reed

Reed has won this event twice in the past in the past four years, including last year at Liberty National.

The American struggled in the first few weeks after the PGA Tour resumed but has been back in form of late, finishing inside the top 15 in three of his last four starts.

Reed closed with a round of 64 to finish T9 at last week’s Wyndham Championship, so he has some momentum heading to a venue that plays to his strengths.

He finished inside the top six in three consecutive years between 2015 and 2017 when TPC Boston hosted the Dell Technologies Championship, so he looks a good bet to defend his title at the same course this week.

Outside shot: Billy Horschel

This event has been dominated by big names at the top of the market in recent years, so I’m not going too big on an outsider this week.

Instead, I’ll play it relatively safe with Horschel, who looks good value at after almost winning the Wyndham Championship on Sunday.

The American finished just a shot behind surprise winner Jim Herman and has now made five cuts in a row, including three top-13 finishes.

Horschel memorably won the FedEx Cup in 2014 by winning both the BMW Championship and Tour Championship in successive weeks, and he also has a runner-up finish at TPC Boston to his name.
