Here's who Jack Green is picking in his golf tips for this week at Detroit Golf Club.

EACH-WAY SHOUTS

Kevin Na

Na is coming off a great result at last week’s Travelers Championship, where he finished fifth after firing four rounds of 67 or better.

The 36-year-old ranked fifth in total shots gained at TPC River Highlands and sixth in shots gained putting, which bodes well for his chances this week as he’s very dangerous when his putter is hot.

Na used to struggle to get over the line, but that is no longer the case. He won once in 2018 and twice last year, meaning he has three victories in his last 42 starts.

That impressive rate means Na’s always worth backing when in form, and this week’s event – which features a field that’s short of big names – is a good opportunity for him to win again.

Brandt Snedeker

Snedeker has struggled since the PGA Tour restart, missing the cut at the RBC Heritage before finishing T41 at the Travelers last week.

The American should bounce back in Michigan, however, having finished T5 at this event last year.

Plenty of players are going to regularly miss the small greens at Detroit Golf Club, so Snedeker’s excellent work around the greens should be crucial. He ranks third in shots gained around the green and first in scrambling from the fringe on the PGA Tour this season.

He’s not as consistent as he used to be and could blow up again this week, but Snedeker tends to perform well at courses that suit him. It’d be no surprise if he’s in contention on Sunday.

OUTSIDE SHOT

Si Woo Kim

Kim bounced back from a run of four consecutive missed cuts to post an impressive T11 at the Travelers.

The Korean fired four rounds of 68 or better at River Highlands, finishing with a 65 on Sunday, and he ranked fourth in shots gained from tee to green and second in GIR percentage.

The putter let Kim down last week but he can build upon that performance at this venue, which features small greens that should suit his accurate game.

The 25-year-old has won twice on the PGA Tour, including the 2017 PLAYERS Championship. His talent is undeniable and he’s worth backing after last week’s showing.
