Here's who Jack Green is picking in his golf tips for this week's WGC event at TPC Southwind.

BACK TO WIN

Justin Thomas

Thomas has been in great form since the PGA Tour restarted in June, finishing T18 or better – including three top 10s – in four of his five starts so far.

He came incredibly close to winning the Workday Charity Open earlier this month, losing to Collin Morikawa in a thrilling playoff showdown.

Thomas is an 11-time winner on the PGA Tour and it’s only a matter of time until he triumphs again. The American won three times in seven starts between August and January.

His T12 finish last year was a solid debut at TPC Southwind, and the 27-year-old’s form suggests he’ll surpass that result this time around.

EACH-WAY SHOUTS

Tyrrell Hatton

Hatton has climbed to 14th in the world rankings after a run of nine top-20 finishes in 10 starts dating back to September.

That sequence includes wins at the Turkish Airlines Open in November and the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

The suspension of the PGA Tour did nothing to derail the Englishman’s form, as he has returned with two consecutive top-four finishes at the RBC Heritage and Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Ranking first in total shots gained, first in putting, second in approach play and fifth from tee to green on the PGA Tour this season, Hatton’s having an incredible season and it would be no surprise if he’s in contention once again this weekend.

Daniel Berger

The first two wins of Berger’s career came at TPC Southwind, as he triumphed at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in both 2016 and 2017.

The American’s form in 2020 suggests he’s primed to add another victory to his record at this venue.

Berger returned from the restart by winning the Charles Schwab Challenge in June and followed that up with a T3 at the RBC Heritage, meaning he now has five top-10s in his last six starts.

No other player in this field combines such strong recent form with a history of success at this venue, so Berger looks a great each-way bet this week.
