Jack Green's golf tips for this week's PGA Tour event at Sedgefield include two each-way bets and a promising outsider at a great price.

EACH-WAY SHOUTS

Brandt Snedeker 25/1

Snedeker is a two-time winner of this event, and he has a great chance to add a third title to his name in a relatively weak field at Sedgefield.

The world No. 48 is in decent form, with two top-five finishes in his last six starts, and he closed with a round of 66 at last week’s WGC St Jude Invitational to finish T27.

Snedeker is always worth backing at his favourite courses. He has nine career wins, with six of those coming at Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach and Sedgefield.

He’s finished inside the top five on five occasions at this venue, including in three of his last four starts, and shot a first-round 59 here in 2018.

Billy Horschel 25/1

Horschel is enjoying a solid run of form and has the ability to get into contention at Sedgefield.

The American has four top-20 finishes in his last six starts, including T9s at the Memorial Tournament and last week’s WGC St Jude Invitational.

Horschel, who finished 11th at this event last year and fifth in 2016, has a history of performing well at courses designed by Donald Ross, having won at East Lake in 2014 and finished third at Aronimink last year.

The 32-year-old ranks 32nd in shots gained from putting on the PGA Tour this season, and if he gets hot on the greens again this week there’s a good chance he’ll finish high on the leaderboard.

OUTSIDE SHOT

Joaquin Niemann 50/1

Niemann took last week off after missing the cut at the Open a fortnight ago.

The Chilean was in fantastic form prior to Portrush, going T5-T5-T23-T10 run in his previous four starts, all of which were in America.

This is only Niemann’s second season on the PGA Tour, but he’s now getting into contention regularly in events with weaker fields, and it seems only a matter of time until he earns his first victory.

He currently ranks inside the top 40 in shots gained off the tee, total driving and approach play on the PGA Tour this season.
