Here's who Jack Green is picking in his golf tips for this week's PGA Tour event at Sedgefield.

EACH-WAY SHOUTS

Harris English

English is coming off a T19 at last week’s PGA Championship, which was his fourth consecutive top-20 finish.

The American has now finished inside the top 20 on 11 occasions this season, including five top-10s.

English’s numbers are very impressive. He ranks eighth in total shots gained, 19th in shots gained from tee to green and 14th in shots gained putting on the PGA Tour this season.

The 31-year-old finished T11 at this event in 2018 and T10 in 2012, and has a great chance of improving upon those results this week as this has been the most consistent year of his career.

Billy Horschel

Horschel is in good form and has an excellent record at Sedgefield.

The world No. 38 has made the cut in seven of his last eight starts at this venue, including three top-11 finishes in his last four.

Horschel put together four solid rounds to finish T43 at the PGA Championship last week and had placed inside the top 25 in three consecutive starts prior to that, including a T7 at the Workday Charity Open last month.

He ranks inside the top 20 in both total shots gained and shots gained putt this season, and looks a fine each-way bet in a weakened field this week.

OUTSIDE SHOT

Maverick McNealy

McNealy missed the PGA Championship last week but finished seventh in his last start at the Barracuda Championship.

The brilliantly-named American now has two top-eight finishes in his last four starts, having also finished T8 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last month.

He ranks 11th in shots gained putting on the PGA Tour in 2020 and 22nd in birdie average, which bodes well for his chances at Sedgefield where scores are typically very low.

A week after his girlfriend, Danielle Kang, won her second successive LPGA event, McNealy looks a good bet to follow in her footsteps and triumph at a big price in North Carolina.
