14:10 PERTEMPS NETWORK HANDICAP HURDLE

TOP PICK: SAMBURU SHUJAA   | Second choice: Not Many Left

This race is a minefield for punters with only one winning favourite in the last decade.

That said, the last four winners were all to the fore in the betting without being market leaders. SAMBURU SHUJAA for Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson comes here of the back of two fine wins at Chepstow. He looks well handicapped to follow up.

14:50 RYANAIR CHASE

TOP PICK: UN DE SCEAUX   | Second choice: Balko Des Flos

This is a great race in prospect with five horses tight at the top of the market.

Footpad should start as market leader, but disappointed from that position in the betting last time. UN DE SCEAUX won this in 2017, before flopping as favourite last year. He can regain his crown at a generous price.

16:10 BROWN ADVISORY PLATE

TOP PICK: KAUTO RIKO   | Second choice: Splash of Ginge

The name Kauto is synonymous with Cheltenham Festival, but more for the Star than the little known KAUTO RIKO.

From the small stable of Tom Gretton, this eight-year-old can regain his winning touch after being a beaten favourite at Wetherby last time.

17:30 KIM MUIR CHALLENGE CUP

TOP PICK: CRIEVEHILL   | Second choice: Perfect Candidate

Three of the last six winners of this race returned at a double-figure price, including a 40/1 shot in 2017.

At a huge price, I like the look of CRIEVEHILL in this amateur riders’ race.

The ground should suit and I’d be hopeful that he can last out this distance, despite being beaten around this trip his last two starts. This race should be more to his liking.

OTHER TIPS FOR THURSDAY:

13:30 JLT Novices' Chase

I think CAPELAND  has a fantastic each-way chance for the Paul Nicholls stable, with his trainer having come out on top in the Novices’ Chase on Wednesday’s card.

KILDISART  is my idea of the winner for the in-form stable of Ben Pauling. This course and distance winner can top off a great season.

15:30 Stayers' Hurdle

SUPASUNDAE  can give the favourite Paisley Park  plenty to think about. He has a string of runner-up efforts, but since this race cut up he has to have a good chance of going one better.

16:50 Mares' Novices' Hurdle

Nicky Henderson has been in the winners enclosure a number of times of the first two days and can make it a third day running with ELUSIVE BELLE , she’ll have the assistance of a hood here following a runner-up effort last time. She can definitely do better.
