The early market seems to suggest that this is a three-horse race, with Delta Work, TOPOFTHEGAME and Santini all taking up a hefty percentage of the book.

I’ll plump for the Paul Nicholls inmate TOPOFTHEGAME who has been runner-up on the last three occasions, one of which was at last year's Festival.

However, he did show he can get his head in front when winning a Grade 3 hurdle at Sandown just over a year ago.

14:50 CORAL CUP

TOP PICK: HIGHEST SUN | Second choice: Vision Des Flos 

Three progressive five-year-old horses have won this over the last decade and Colin Tizzard’s HIGHEST SUN can get in on the act.

He has a generous weight - despite an 8lb rise - and will handle the soft going.

The connections feel this trip will also be ideal.

16:50 JUVENILE HANDICAP HURDLE

TOP PICK: PRAECEPS | Second choice: Fanfan Du Seuil

Now known as the Boodles, this race is for horses at the start of their jump racing careers.

Trainer Alan King usually does well with his younger National Hunt horses and I like the big-priced PRAECEPS in what looks a very tricky race to call.

17:30 CHAMPION BUMPER

TOP PICK: SEMPO | Second choice: Master Debonair

Joseph O'Brien seems to have a potential star here judging by the way this horse won at Thurles.

He looks to have bags of untapped potential that can help him win this bumper.

OTHER TIPS FOR WEDNESDAY

13:30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle

The Skeltons had some good fortune to take the Mares' hurdle yesterday but can get another winner here without as much luck. 

BEAKSTOWN is already a Grade 2 winner and handles the soft ground and distance of this race. Back him each-way.

15:30 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase

Some punters might be starting to think this is a Festival of shocks after yesterday, but Altior looks as though he should confirm favouritism.

There’s a decent each-way picture to the race and I like ORDINARY WORLD   at a huge price to grab one of the places.

16:10 Glenfarclas Chase

ULTRAGOLD   is a tentative each-way selection in a difficult Cross Country race, where favourite Tiger Roll looks to show his versatile self once more.
