With £10,000 up for grabs on Saturday, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips for Aintree and Sandown to get you started.

13:30 AINTREE

The Becher Chase gives fans the opportunity to see those beloved Grand National fences in use, and we’re always given plenty of Grand National clues from this trial.

BALLYDINE  , for trainer Charlie Longsdon, looks to have been trained specifically for this race, and it will be some training performance to win this competitive race first time out this year.

Ballydine has a touch of class – he was placed in a Grade Two race over hurdles – and has the perfect pilot on board in Grand National-winning jockey, Leighton Aspell.

Vintage Clouds  won’t be too far away for Sue Smith, whose string are just starting to fire. Owner Trevor Hemmings loves winners at his local course, and this horse has always looked like he’d be a National-type one day.

14:25 SANDOWN

Last year’s Imperial Cup winner MALAYA   has seemingly taken her time to come to hand this season, not getting close in two runs to date, including on her debut over fences.

But, having dropped a couple of pounds in her hurdling mark to 140, I don’t think she’ll be too far away under Harry Cobden, who is riding out of his skin this term.

Last year’s winner of this race Man of Plenty  also won’t be far away with conditions set to suit again for his very shrewd connections.

15:15 AINTREE

The Grand Sefton Chase is also over the Grand National fences and, provided that he’s not too keen, DIDERO VALLIS   should go very close for Venetia Williams.

He finished in fifth at the Cheltenham Festival behind Siruh Du Lac in the Plate and looked threatening all the way around.

On his reappearance at Ascot a couple of weeks ago he was very keen and fresh before being pulled up. But he was jumping slightly out to his left, so there may have been a small issue.

If he gets into a rhythm over these fences, I expect him to go very close under Charlie Deutsch.

15:35 SANDOWN

The London National is one of the key races in the staying chase division and was won last year by Morney Wing, who has not been declared for this year’s renewal.

In this race last year, SHANROE SANTOS  was sent off the 3/1 favourite but got going all too late.

Lucy Wadham’s gelding is a consistent sort who needs this sort of trip now, and I’m sure he’ll give his partner Brian Hughes a great spin around the Esher racecourse.
