With £10,000 up for grabs on Saturday, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips for Ayr and Newbury to get you started.

14:40 Ayr

The Ayr Silver Cup is always very competitive and unpredictable.

Glenamoy Lad has long been on my radar as a sprinter to follow. It appears as though he’s been campaigned around this race and, potentially, some other races this Autumn.

Michael Wigham has booked the services of Joe Fanning to take the ride. When Fanning has won 25 per cent of the time when running for Wigham and would give punters a +£28.50 profit from a £1 level stake.

Others to look out for include Show Stealer  and three-year-old Red Balloons for the Richard Fahey stable.

The latter hasn’t looked the same in three runs this season, but her trainer is a master of getting his horses to peak on the big day and she could run a huge race if back to form.

15:15 Ayr

The Firth of Clyde Stakes is a Group Three race for Fillies over six furlongs with ten runners.

The market is going to be dominated by the top two horses, Orlaith and Lambeth Walk.

But the two I’d suggest following closely are Final Option  and Aleneva .

The former would be a lot shorter in the betting had she been trained by somebody more 'fashionable' than William Muir, who is hugely underrated and has always shown what he can do when he gets a good horse in his care.

She won on her debut and was stepped up in class in the Listed Dick Poole at Salisbury last time. She was well supported before the off and ran a huge race behind a couple of proven group horses from the Hannon and Harrington yards.

This is much calmer waters and she should go close.

Aleneva won on her debut, beating a horse called Walk In Marrakesh. She has since franked that form numerous times and can live up to that early promise with a solid performance here.

15:30 Newbury

Forest of Dean  heads the market for trainer John Gosden and jockey Rab Havlin.

Successful on his last two starts, he has shot up to a mark of 105. He won his last two races in great style, though, and looked to be a rapid improver.

Migration  looked all the winner until caught close to home by Hyanna at Sandown Park last month, and he’ll hope he can exact his revenge in this race.

The other horse to mention is the topweight Gibbs Hill , who blew up over 1m4f at Kempton Park last time out and this drop back in trip to 1m2f can see him go close for the in-form Roger Varian yard.

15:50 Ayr

The final leg of the Betway 4 To Win is the big race of the day, the Ayr Gold Cup.

It goes without saying that this is going to be hard to find the winner of – it the toughest renewal I can remember.

Hey Jonesy  is looking incredibly well-handicapped. He is now down to a mark of 103 and goes for trainer Kevin Ryan, who has won this four times.

The consistent Summerghand deserves to win a big pot. His day will come.

The same can be said for the ever-present Intisaab , who is the mount of the very promising young amateur jockey Angus Villiers.

Champion Jockey elect Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride Gunmetal , and a return to hold up-style riding tactics will see him go close, too.
