13:50 DONCASTER
This is a huge field for this classy sprint handicap.
Horses drawn in a stall with double-figures have won nine of the last 10 renewals, so we really need to use that as a starting point for our selections.
Last year’s winner A Momentofmadness has to be considered from a similar draw with less weight to carry, although he is far shorter than the 25/1 price he was successful under 12 months ago.
2014 winner MUTHMIR has been a frustrating sort of late, but he had a very consistent spell towards the middle of last season he could still be capable of landing this prize and might represent some value in the market.
14:25 DONCASTER
A much lighter field here, but not short on quality.
Shine So Bright and Turjomaan dominate the market, but this could go to the likely third favourite SIR DANCEALOT .
David Elsworth’s five-year-old fits the profile of recent winners of this race. His win in the Lennox Stakes is a standout piece of form and he can get back in the winners’ enclosure here.
14:30 LEOPARDSTOWN
A competitive handicap over the Irish Sea.
Ryan Moore picks up a ride while he waits to compete in the big race of the day. EMINENCE is his mount and this three-year-old could be a class above the rest of the field.
Jim Bolger’s Trossachs , who racked up a hat-trick earlier this season, might be the best of the rest.
16:15 LEOPARDSTOWN
The Irish Champion Stakes hasn’t been won by Aidan O’Brien since the 2011 season, which is a remarkable barren spell for the stable with the most firepower in the country.
To rectify this he has half the field in this year’s contest. MAGICAL has a run of second-placed efforts against her name, but could be the one to land this race for the Ballydoyle outfit.
