14:55 Newmarket

The first leg of 4 To Win is the Autumn Stakes, a group three race for two-year-olds.

This race often breeds high-class horses, including last year’s winner, Persian King.

This year, a field of nine go to post. The field is headed by recent Doncaster winner Molatham , who is progressive and should really appreciate his first try at one mile.

Aidan O’Brien has never won the Autumn Stakes, but was second and third last year with Magna Grecia and Circus Maximus.

He relies on the twice-raced Persia , who was very impressive at Galway last time out.

15:15 York

This Class 2 handicap is being run for the just the seventh time. Of the six previous renewals, a three-year-old has won four times.

Last year, the prize was won by the Mark Johnston stable, who look to have a very live hope this year. 

Dark Vision  has slipped to a very attractive mark of 100, has run very well in much more competitive races this season and - if he stays the distance on his first time at this trip - should be very hard to beat.

15:50 York

Each of the last two Sprint Trophy Handicaps have been won by the Kevin Ryan stable, and he looks to have a good chance again with Hey Jonesy .

He was punted off the boards in the Ayr Gold Cup, only to lose a shoe and not run his true race.

Another horse who lost a shoe in that race is Hyperfocus , who should not be underestimated off his mark of 94 for Tim Easterby and David Allan, with conditions set to suit.

16:10 Newmarket

The final leg of 4 To Win is the competitive Cesarewitch, a race that has only produced two winning favourites in the past ten years.

In that time, we’ve seen 50/1, 25/1 and two 66/1 winners.

Last year’s winning trainer Willie Mullins saddles this year’s favourite Buildmeupbuttercup , a five-year-old mare who has big race supremo, Frankie Dettori, on her back.

She struggled to give a stone to a horse that went on to easily demolish a group race, so she is definitely the one to beat.

At a bigger price, Billy Ray could be in line to run a huge race, as he will absolutely love the soft ground.

He was highly tried at two, suggesting he showed some class at home, but it’s been clear he always wanted a trip, and he will certainly get that here.
