13:45 MERSEYRAIL HANDICAP HURDLE

This is a really open field, so I'm going for an each-way chance in DOCTOR DEX  .

The six-year-old has a solid record so far with two wins and four seconds from six trips and travelled respectably in the Martin Pipe.

His jumping is steady and the fact that he's won two from three this year, I'm banking on him finishing inside the top three here.

14:20 BETWAY TOP NOVICES' HURDLE

A tough one to to call, but as this is our insurace race, I would take a chance on SOUTHFIELD STONE .

Four wins from seven is decent form, especially considering he was ahead of one-time Supreme favourite Angels Breath in the most recent of those victories in the Grade 2 Dovecote Novices' Hurdle.

I don't rate many jockeys more highly than Harry Cobden and he is the man the saddle that could well claim the prize here.

14:50 BETWAY MILDMAY NOVICES' CHASE

Topofthegame should win this comfortably but, as an each-way shout, I'm plumping for CHRIS'S DREAM  .

The seven-year-old has won four of his last six, including a Grade 2 triumph at Navan over Champagne Classic and Kim Muir winner Any Second Now.

The pairing of Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore have already had success this week and I think they could sneak some each-way value here.

15:25 MELLING CHASE

I'm a big fan of WAITING PATIENTLY  , so I have to back him here.

He was a perfect six from six over fences before being hampered in the King George, but was then well-beaten into second behind Cyrname in the Ascot Chase.

Despite that, I still have a lot of belief in Ruth Jefferson's eight-year-old, and think the conditions should suit him well.

16:05 TOPHAM HANDICAP CHASE

The Topham is one of my favourite race, and the first each-way punt I'm pursuing is DOUBLE SHUFFLE .

He was second in the King George behind Might Bite two years ago and finished a strong runner-up to Walt in a Grade 3 handicap.

He proved himself over three miles when second behind Definitly Red in the Betway Many Clouds Chase in December, so should have no problem staying the trip and can hopefully nick a place.

The other each-way chance I like is Paul Nicholls' SAN BENEDETO  .

He has course form having won the Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase here in 2017 ahead of Forest Bihan, Charbel and Politologue.

A tidy Grade 3 triumph in the Greatwood Gold Cup sets him up nicely here and I think he's big value.

16:40 SEFTON NOVICES' HURDLE

Up next is a question of who disappointed most at Cheltenham: Champ or DALLAS DES PICTONS  .

Although the former was disappointing behind Early Doors, I think Gordon Elliott's six-year-old has more to offer.

Two wins and two seconds - one of which was behind Ballymore winner City Island - is impressive form, and Jack Kennedy could make a massive difference.

17:15 NATIONAL HUNT FLAT RACE

The first one I fancy in the last is EBONY JEWEL for the Nick Alexander team

He was runner-up on debut but responded emphatically with a 12-length victory at Ayr last month.

He'll cope with two miles so I think he has an each-way chance.

The other one I like is John Ryan's BOOK OF INVASIONS .

He's only won one of his four starts but didn't disgrace himself when beaten twice by Alright Sunshine.

A placed finish in a field of ten at Cheltenham is respectable form so I'm hoping he can up his game for Paddy Brennan at a huge price.

WIN DOUBLE
