It's a bumper weekend of top-quality racing action on both sides of the Channel.

Here are my four best each-way bets across Saturday and Sunday...

SATURDAY

2.20 – Cheveley Park Stakes (Newmarket)

French raider DIFFERENT LEAGUE  racked up a hat-trick at Royal Ascot following two wins in her homeland at the start of her career.

She then finished a close third to Karl Burke pair Unfortunately and Havana Grey in a Deauville Group 1 last time out.

She won’t be the 20/1 price we saw when winning the Albany, but she still represents each-way value at anything above 6/1 here.

3.15 – Gold Cup (Haydock)

This 6f sprint handicap looks very competitive, but I think that WITHERNSEA  can achieve at least a place under the talented Sammy Jo Bell.

She was second on her only ride on this six-year-old when second at Haydock just over a year ago and takes off 3lb this time around.

The drop in trip on heavy going could be a masterstroke from Richard Fahey and we need to take note.

This horse has numerous wins and placed efforts when there has been significant cut in the ground.

3.35 – Cambridgeshire Handicap (Newmarket)

YOU’RE FIRED  landed us a decent each-way return at Doncaster last time out when running on over a mile to snatch third place in a decent handicap.

The extra furlong in the Cambridgeshire should suit and he can be played late to nick at least another place.

In his only two runs just over a mile he has won both times in competitive Class 2 handicaps, both times with cut in the ground.

Patrick O’Hanlon rode this six-year-old in a patient manner at Donny and, with a valuable 7lb claim, can get in the prize money again.

SUNDAY

3.05 – Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Chantilly)

Sir Michael Stoute’s ULYSSES  looks a fantastic each-way bet in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on Sunday at Chantilly.

He has every chance of turning the tables on Enable  with less weight and conditions far more to his liking than at Ascot in the King George.

He won so well at York in the Juddmonte International and goes to France in sparkling form. He looks a certainty for at least the first three places in the big race.
