2.30 – Albany Stakes

A great race to kick off day four, and one in which we certainly shouldn’t be afraid to back an outsider.

The average winning starting price during the last decade is just under 14/1, including a 50/1 shot in 2007.

It’s best to focus on fillies that have run once and won on debut, as that profile matches with lots of recent winners of this contest.

The Hannon stable dominated two-year-old races at big meetings a few years ago and I really like NATURAL each-way at  to give them another juvenile winner here.

3.05 – King Edward VII Stakes

I was on Salouen in the Derby and I'd like to interpret his 11.5-length defeat as slightly unlucky since he looked to be doing his best work at the end and just met a lot of trouble.

Others might say he was just going past beaten horses but, back down in grade, I’m going to give Sylvester Kirk’s horse a tentative vote.

SALOUEN to win at  is the pick.

GLENCADAM GLORY could also stay on in the final stages and claim an each-way place at a big price of , especially the way races have been run at the meeting this week.

3.40 – Commonwealth Cup

I really want to be against the favourite Caravaggio here, so I'll be taking him on with a split win bet on both Godolphin horses.

BLUE POINT ( ) and HARRY ANGEL ( ) both have outstanding form on the clock, which has often been eased down.

And although the favourite is unbeaten, this is a tough race and I’d rather be on the second and third-favourite coupled.

4.20 – Coronation Stakes

Favourites have a poor record in this race but, granted, not many have come here in better form than Winter.

That coupled with the fact that so many potential rivals have swerved the chance to take her on makes this a tough race to advise a bet in.

PRECIEUSE ( ) is a good each-way bet to maybe send this prize to France for the fourth time in seven years.

5.00 – Queen’s Vase

The bookmakers won’t be getting their violins out for the punters if the short-priced Ballydoyle double fails to come in earlier in the day.

The last two races aren’t great for chasing those losses, but John Gosden’s STRADIVARIUS ( ) can cope with the step up in trip here and land at least a place return.

5.35 – Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes

Her Majesty The Queen usually takes the sensible step of missing the last race each day for a quick getaway after a day at Royal Ascot.

If she’s still in the parade ring for this last race on day four then she must think her four-year-old gelding Mainstream has every chance of landing the prize named after her husband.

We won’t begrudge her a winner after a tough few weeks. although there won’t be much value in backing the Sir Michael Stoute trained favourite.

Let’s take an each-way chance on OASIS FANTASY at to bounce back under in-form Jamie Spencer, who has already ridden winners at 20/1 and 25/1 this week.
