Sunday Ripon runner

Zoom Tiger

 is our only runner on Sunday. The form of his Newmarket run is working out well and I think he’s improved too. He’ll have every chance (16:35).

Saturday at Newbury

Tactical

 clearly brings the best form into the race and, although he’s got a listed penalty to carry, he’s the one they all need to beat. The result here will help us decide his Royal Ascot objective – whether he stays at 6f for the Commonwealth Cup or whether he runs in the Jersey Stakes over 7f.

He’s a high-class horse who shouldn’t have any issues with the ground. If he’s got enough speed to win over 6f, then he’s got to have a great chance (13:50).

Ranch Hand

 had to miss the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot recently, but he’s in great form at home. We’re slightly running out of options with him – hence why we’re dropping back to 1m 4f – but he’s looking absolutely tremendous.

He has won a decent handicap over this trip, so we’ll see how he gets on in this highly competitive race (14:25).

Dejame Paso

shaped really well at Ascot last time. He’s got a great constitution and took the race very well.

I think the extra 2f will suit him well and, while it’s a quick turnaround, the decent prize money means it’s worth a go with him. If he improves for going up in trip, he could have an each-way squeak (15:00).

Happy Power

 runs in the Lockinge (15:35) and it’s not impossible to think he’ll run well. I think he needed the run at Sandown last time and that would have definitely brought him on fitness wise.

He’s a genuine 7f specialist who is suffering from the lack of opportunities for horses who have won a Group 2. He has, however, been placed in a Sussex Stakes and is a very high-class horse. I’m looking forward to seeing him run.

Saturday at Newmarket

Flyin’ High

is a horse we really like. This is a big step up in class for him, but he won his novice carrying a penalty really well.

I think he’ll appreciate going up in the trip in the Betway Fairway Stakes (14:05) and I hope he’ll be competitive. He seems in good form at home.

Mellow Magic

 has shown plenty of promise on both her career starts to date. She stayed on well at Salisbury last time and that bodes well for Newmarket.

She’s got the best form in the race and has an obvious chance (16:25).

Saturday Thirsk runner

Auriferous

 has done little wrong in his career so far. I think he was beaten by a very good horse at Chepstow last time and the second that day has been out and won since, too.

He’s versatile ground wise and I think he needs this trip now. He’ll have a good chance (15:20).
