Newmarket runners

Wolsey ran with great promise first time out and is entitled to come on for that run.

Newmarket maidens are never easy, but he brings a fair level of form into the race (13:10).

Achelois  ran very well last time, having previously won at Goodwood. She has improved this season and should go well (13:45).

Sir Henry Cotton  faces a bit of an uphill task on his bare form, but he’s drawn out on one of the wings, and that could give him a slight advantage.

He’s had no luck this season, so his form could arguably be rated slightly higher. It would be great to see him get some of the prize money (14:20).

Tack  has improved for his last run where he was a little bit green. These events are always hard to win, but he’s got ability and will be a lovely horse in time (15:30).

Nebulosa  was very disappointing at Chester last time, but she totally missed the break. I’m hoping it’s a one-off and she’s worked well since (16:40).

Ascot runners

Bounce The Blues  has been waiting for soft ground, which should bring out her best.

She ran poorly at Goodwood on her latest start but there was no real reason for that, so she should go well (13:30).

Alounak   is in a tough race (14:40). Hukum is a good horse and will be hard to beat, but Alounak has been consistent this season and has run well over course and distance before.

King’s Lynn  ran a bit flat at Newbury but that’s his third under par run at Newbury, so perhaps he just doesn’t love the place.

Conditions are similar to his gallant effort in the Wokingham, so he has good prospects in this contest (15:15).

We’ve got two entries in the 15:50.

Symbolize  ran well in a very strong Listed race last time. He’s never really had luck in running in these big handicaps, but if Lady Luck is on his side, we know he’s got the ability to go well.

Oo De Lally   has been very consistent this season. These are his ideal conditions, as he likes cut in the ground. He gives it all and has the ability to go close.
