Fox Chairman ran another very good race in the King Edward VII and he looked a bit unlucky.

That’s one of the things with Ascot, sometimes the gaps don’t open and you just have to take your medicine.

We don’t have a runner in the Albany. Wesley Ward’s two fillies are likely to take them along from the front and it’s just a case of whether they can last home.

Roger Varian’s Daahyeh won on debut at Newmarket last month, beating Raffle Prize who franked the form in style when winning the Queen Mary on Wednesday.

That looks to be good form so I’ll stick with Roger’s filly.

Bangkok goes for the King Edward VII and he seems absolutely fine at home. As I’ve said before, we had huge expectations going into the Derby but he ran well below the level of form he had shown at Sandown.

There was no obvious explanation except perhaps he didn’t handle the track, that’s what Silvestre de Sousa thought.

His work has been very solid since and let’s hope it dries out a little as he wouldn’t want it too testing. It would be great if he can get back on track with a good run.

Pondus looks a big danger, I was impressed with him at Sandown. James Fanshawe is a very good trainer.

Pondus and Private Secretary are both threats and there’s obviously Japan as well who ran a very good race in the Derby.

He’s in the same boat as us in that he ran just under three weeks ago and it’s always a tough race. It can take more out of them than other races. Aidan O’Brien's a master at getting it right, though.

Ten Sovereigns is obviously the one to beat in the Commonwealth Cup. He had an excellent season last year and then ran a fair race in the Guineas. It looks like the drop back to six furlongs will suit.

I do like Jash, though. I think he’s a decent horse and Simon Crisford has already had a good week.

Hello Youmzain won the Sandy Lane last time which is always a strong race.

It’s a small field for a Commonwealth Cup but it is still very high quality and will be interesting to watch.

I really like Jubiloso in the Coronation. We had runners in both races she won. Hero Hero was behind her at Chelmsford and she beat him stone cold, which was a hugely impressive performance.

I thought she was unbelievable at Newbury as well in an ordinary race, she couldn’t have done it any easier.

Hermosa has to be massively respected being a dual Guineas winner, just like Winter was a couple of years ago.

Jubiloso is a half-sister to Frankel and she really could be anything. She’s very exciting.

We run I’m Available  in the Sandringham and I like her in the fact that this is a fillies’ handicap and she has a nice low weight.

She’s got an improving profile and ran well over course and distance last month. She’ll like the slower conditions and I think she has a solid each-way chance.

Our final runner of the day is Pivoine  in the Duke Of Edinburgh.

He has some very solid form, but he’s a better horse on quicker ground and that would be the main concern.

He ran well in a strong Group Three behind Crystal Ocean last time and if he stays a mile and a half, he should have a decent shout.

I know Ger Lyons likes Johnny Drama a lot and he has a progressive profile. He’s one that definitely has to be respected in what is always a wide open race.
