Sir Henry Cotton  has been fantastically consistent this year. A little give in the ground won’t be a disadvantage to him and I think he’s still fairly treated to be competitive at this stage (13:35 Haydock).

Nymphadora  ran very well at Royal Ascot. She’s actually run well on both starts this season. This is a step up in class, but she was a stakes winner last season, so has good form in the book. I hope she can acquit herself well now she’s mixing it with the older sprinters (13:50 Sandown).

Duty Bound  won well at Sandown last time. He dug in well and was very tenacious, but he stays well and will enjoy any cut in the ground (14:05 Haydock).

Flyin’ High  has crept in at the bottom of the weights (14:25 Sandown). I’ve always had a feeling he’ll be better suited by a higher class of race. This is the last race for us before he heads off to the sales, so I hope he has a chance of getting a place.

Invite   is in a very strong race (14:40 Haydock). We’ve been waiting for soft ground, and although she’s not been running to the level she won at last season, she does have the ability to go well in this grade.

Morando  couldn’t have enough rain (15:15 Haydock).  He’s still got lots of his old enthusiasm when he gets his ground.  

Secret Shadow   is a soft-ground horse and will also appreciate any rain (15:15 Haydock). She ran well at Goodwood last time out, where Hayley had her stick knocked out of her hand at a crucial stage, which might have been the difference between winning and finishing third. She’s got to have every chance with conditions in her favour.

Something Enticing  ran well in a Listed race last time and will be well suited by testing conditions (15:15 Haydock). We’ve been working on her jumping out of the gates at home as she’s not been great on her two starts for us.

Bolt Of Thunder  has been gelded since his last run. I think the handicapper has him about right, though. He’ll have to run to his best to win, but it’s not implausible to think he could (15:50 Haydock).

Oo De Lally  is a victim of his own consistency. He loves soft ground and has got form at the track. He’s drawn slightly wide, but if he can overcome that, he’s got half a chance (16:25 Haydock).

Wilderness Girl  will enjoy the give in the ground (16:55 Haydock). She ran well at Royal Ascot, and this drop back to 7f will be a help too. She’s a very capable filly and we’ve got Harry claiming 5lb off.

Flag High  gets in at the bottom (16:55 Haydock). He was a bit disappointing last time but, like all of my Haydock runners, he’ll love the soft ground.

Estate  looks to have very good chance (18:30 Nottingham). His run at Bath was pretty good and, to a point, he ran well at Epsom in the Woodcote. This looks like a good opportunity for him.
