Sunday

Berkshire Phantom  (15:15 Salisbury) is beginning to shape up now. We do like him, we think he’s a horse that could do well. There are a few other unraced horses, but I do hope he runs with credit on his first outing.

Bay Dream Believer  (16:25 Salisbury) will be winning races in time. She’s a nice type who will just progress with racing. Those with experience may have the edge over her at this stage in her career.

Saturday

There is a lot more to Nasim (13:40 Sandown) than we have seen from the last couple. The form of his Southwell run has worked out well and I’d like to think that 9f on good ground will be right up his street.

Kingsofthemidlands  (14:00 York) ran well at Goodwood last week. He went from the front and almost held on. Molly Landau is a very capable young jockey who is a very, very good work rider, so he won’t lack for assistance in the saddle. I’m sure they can go well together.

We’re running two in the Betway sponsored feature race at Chester, for which there is great prize money up for grabs.

Wodeton (15:20 Chester) was a bit disappointing last time, but they went a false gallop and he was too keen. I don’t think there is much danger of that happening again in this race. I think there is more to come from him and he could well be in the mix.

Our other runner Far Away Thoughts  (15:20 Chester), who needed the run at York last time. He travelled well for a long way over a mile before getting tired. This is a slightly shorter trip and he’ll be better for that run, too. He’s on the right sort of mark to go well and finish in the placings, especially with Betway paying out on 5 places.

Spirit Mixer  (15:55 Chester) is in the form on his life. He’s really found his feet. He’s always been a horse we’ve liked and he’s definitely going the right way now, although it’ll keep getting tougher for him as he climbs up the handicap. He handles the track well as he showed last time and deserves to be towards the head of the market.

War In Heaven (16:00 Sandown) was disappointing last time but I think it was the ground at Goodwood more than anything. It was quite loose. Based on his Ascot run before, he’s got a good chance of placing.

Cadmus (16:35 Sandown) needs this experience. He’ll want to go further in time but we’re going to get the ball rolling with him.

Roscioli (17:05 Chester) is a horse who I think might be coming to the boil now. We think he’ll appreciate this distance and we don’t expect Chester to pose any problems to him either.
