I didn’t really think that Lingfield would be his track, but he was very impressive there in the Betway Winter Derby Trial. That led us back to the same course for the Betway Winter Derby in February, where he was third to a very good Dubai Warrior.

He’s suited by a strong gallop and I’d be delighted if we could find him a Group 2 this season. He’s a Group 3 winner already and I wouldn’t rule out an international campaign in the autumn.

Bell Rock

He’s a lovely horse and we’re hopeful he’ll have a better season this year than last, which was frustrating. He’d worked very well prior to the Craven but, sadly, he picked up a little knock and we were playing catch up from there.

He ran well in the Heron Stakes at Sandown Park, which is a race that worked out very well.

We’re looking forward to seeing him back this season and we’re confident he can get back to winning ways.

Dashing Willoughby

It was a plan well executed when he won the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot, which was always his target last season.

He was always going to be tough to place after that, as he had a Group 2 penalty to carry, but he still ran very well in the Goodwood Cup and the Princess of Wales’s Stakes at Newmarket, too.

He’s got the makings of a top-class stayer and will be campaigned in all the top staying races. We’re hopeful of a good year.

She had three starts for Noel Meade before moving to our stable in May. She then had three outings for us last term which culminated with a good success in the Doonside Cup at Ayr in September.

There’s a good programme for fillies so we’ll map out a campaign for her once we know more about the fixture list. We were aiming her at the Dahlia Stakes as her first start but, with that not going ahead, we’ll need to have a rethink.

She wouldn’t mind any give in the ground.

Fox Chairman

Another lightly raced horse who sadly had a little niggle in the autumn which kept him off the track. However, that may not have harmed him in the long run. He’s posted some high-class efforts and we were delighted with him on every start.

Like many of ours, he’s just cantering away at the moment and, as a horse who likes soft ground, we may see more of him when the ground turns in the autumn.

Fox Tal

Fox Tal

He’s lightly raced but does have a huge engine, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do this season.

We only got him out twice last season and did nothing wrong on either run. The first was a good success at Doncaster which was followed by an excellent third in the Champion Stakes at Ascot on Champions Day.

He’s best at 1m2f, but I think he could stay 1½m, which could open up a few more opportunities this season.

Happy Power

He’s another who had a good campaign last season and was successful in the Ganton Stakes at York in June. He showed a good level of ability throughout the season, including a fourth in the Sussex Stakes.

He’s one who likes give in the ground and he’ll have his opportunities when the ground goes in his favour. We might look for a Listed race to get him started off this term.

Look Around

She had some good efforts last year, especially when she was placed in a Listed race at Ascot and in the Group 3 Betway Atalanta Stakes at Sandown Park.

There’s a nice programme for fillies and she’ll be campaigned against her own sex around 1¼m.

Nate The Great

Another new recruit to Park House Stables who has settled in well. He joined us from Archie Watson’s yard and is a horse that had showed a good level of ability at both two and three years old.

He’s just started doing some upsides work and, from what we’ve seen, we think he’ll be a fun horse this season and could be one to target at the Ebor.

Shine So Bright

He won the Duke of York and the Free Handicap for us last year and goes well fresh.

The Diamond Jubilee has been the aim and races like the July Cup will come into the equation for him this season, too. Saying that, we’ll have to look at how the calendar is going to work out, but dropping him back to 6f is the plan.

He’s not in fast work yet, but is cantering away nicely, and we’re hopeful of a good campaign.

Tribal Craft

She showed us a good level of form last season without setting the world alight and, although she was well beaten on her last two starts, I’m sure she’s better than that.

She likes cut in the ground and, when she gets her favoured conditions, I’m sure there’s a nice stakes race in her.

CHAD YEOMANS' ONE TO WATCH: BELL ROCK

Again, the team at Park House Stables have some superb talent in the four-year-old division this year. Bangkok, Happy Power and Fox Tal will no doubt gain plenty of success for the yard, with plenty of other prospects as well.

The horse I’ve chosen to follow is Bell Rock, who I’m still convinced is a very good horse despite his three-year-old season not going to plan.

Andrew mentions that he'd had a niggle before the Craven in April and after that it was a rush to get him right. But he’s been gelded and remains full of promise. I’m excited to see him back on a racecourse and he could well be nicely handicapped off a mark of 98.
