York Ebor runners

Johnny Drama  is stepping up in trip again, but it’s in his range. He has won over 1m4f before.

He won the John Smith’s Cup at York in July and, although I think he has a solid chance, it’s always difficult to concede lumps of weight to improving three-year-olds (13:50).

Spanish Mission  goes in the Lonsdale Cup (14:25).

We’ve obviously got Stradivarius and Trueshan – if he runs – to worry about, but he’s in great form and has the all-important course form at York, too. He should be there or thereabouts.

Berkshire Shadow  is dropping back to 6f as we’re rather running out of options for him. He had enough class and speed to win the Coventry at Royal Ascot and I’ve been pleased with him of late.

The ground will be more to his liking than it was at Goodwood and he should go very well, even with a 3lb penalty (15:00).

Chil Chil  is dropping back to 5f in the Nunthorpe (15:35). If it was over 6f, I’d be hopeful she could run into a place. She shows plenty of speed at home and will love the quick ground, too.

Hoo Ya Mal  runs in the Convivial Maiden (16:10). They were testing conditions when he made his debut at Sandown, but he shaped with real promise and is potentially a high-class horse in the making.

Achelois  has been great this season – she has just kept on improving. The question mark is how she’ll handle a faster surface but, if she does, she’s the one they all have to beat (16:40).

Dejame Paso  is dropping back in trip but has some good course form and will love the ground. He’s up in the weights, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he took some prize money (17:10).

Salisbury runners

Spirit Warning  is a tough horse to win with. On his day, he can win at this level, but you just never know if he’s going to bring his A game to the track (17:23).

War In Heaven  ran well first time out. I’d say Joe Tuite’s horse [The Organiser] will be tough to beat, but ours showed good promise on his debut and we’ll be there to pick up the pieces (17:53).

The form of the run that Attache  put in at Epsom looks pretty good, with the winner [Royal Patronage] going on to win the Acomb at York on Wednesday.

You’d have to be hopeful that he could go well and a mile should suit him (18:23).

Mercurious Power  just got caught out at Brighton last time as the track didn’t suit him. He’s on the right sort of mark to be competitive here, though (19:23).

Spirit Mixer  has had a little break since his disappointing effort last time. On his best form, he’ll have every chance (19:53).

One Kempton runner

Senorita  is a work in progress and this race looks very competitive (13:30).
