Andrew Balding: I've got seven runners in action this weekend
The Betway ambassador previews a busy weekend, with seven runners going to post at Goodwood and Windsor.
Sunday runners
12:45 Goodwood
Classic Lord was a bit disappointing at Lingfield on his debut, but he was raw and green like plenty of horses on their first outing.
He seems to be improving and he’s not without a chance of getting placed.
13:15 Goodwood
Elham Valley has been waiting for the ground to soften so he’ll love the conditions and, with Oisin on board, would look to have an obvious chance in this race.
15:35 Goodwood
Happy Power was a good winner of a conditions race at Salisbury last time out and seems in good form.
He handles soft ground and ought to give a fine account of himself.
Saturday runners
14:10 Windsor
Kafee is sired by Make Believe, so you’d like to think he’ll cope with the conditions.
He shaped well on soft ground in the autumn last year and is a course-and-distance winner.
He disappointed with no obvious reason last time out, but should have a part to play if he bounces back.
14:40 Windsor
Alounak shouldn’t mind the ground being soft as he was a good second in the Hardwicke in slower conditions.
He’s very talented on his day and does have every chance in the August Stakes.
15:00 Goodwood
We’re chasing some black type with Table Mountain , who stays well and will enjoy the conditions.
She’s done well this season and has kept on improving. While this is a tough race on paper, she will keep on galloping.
15:15 Windsor
Fox Chairman is obviously a very high-class horse.
He’s done little wrong this season despite the fact we had to go to Royal Ascot without a prep run, which is something that may have brought him on sooner.
This 1m 2f trip on soft ground looks like his optimum conditions, so we’re looking forward to seeing him run.
