We’re delighted to have made such a good start. It’s a good boost for all of the team to get a few victories on the board, especially after the extremely hard work they’ve put in over the last few months.

Berlin Tango was a good winner of the Classic Trial; the step up in trip helped. He’s improved from two to three and it was great to see him see out the race so well.

I don’t really know where he’ll go next, but I’ll discuss it with his owner in due course.

I loved the way Hold Fast won and beat the colts in the opening race at Kempton on Tuesday.

It was a really good performance, and with that under her belt, we’ll be looking for a better race for her, potentially over further. A race like the Ribblesdale could come into contention, but we’ll just see how things pan out before making any firm plans.

Grove Ferry  has done very little wrong and improved with each run. He was successful on his second and his third start and, whilst this race looks like it’s a trial for the Britannia at the Royal meeting, he should give a good account of himself.

Berkshire Rocco  has got an obvious chance if he handles the fast ground - he has run okay on quick ground in the past. He’s been working well, and his fitness levels are where we think we want them.

We’re hopeful he’ll go well.

Alounak  is having his first run for us after being purchased by King Power. He’s got some good international form in the book, having run well in both the Canadian International and at the Breeders Cup meeting.

It’s a bit more of a fact-finding mission as we’re still learning about him, but I do think he’ll come on for the run and he could just end up being a Melbourne Cup horse in time.

16:10 Newmarket

Edinburgh Castle  has been working nicely, and he could be reasonably well-handicapped. He’s lightly raced so may lack the experience of some of the others in the field, but he handles fast ground and should go close.

Medika  has been a work in progress and will learn from the experience of another run. These types of races are always competitive, but she’ll be better in time.

17:35 Lingfield Park

Angel Grey  has got some decent form from last year and we’ve been pleased with her work this spring. This is a really competitive little race and we’ll just need a bit of luck on our side.
