It’s a quiet weekend for us compared to the last, with only five runners over two days. Excitement is building as we get closer to Royal Ascot, however, and we are well-prepared for next week.

Saturday

12:15 Newbury

Sidereal is a lovely type, but he wasn’t in training last year.

He was big and backward and took his time to fill out. He’s been with us a while now, though, and his work has been pleasing. I’m looking forward to getting his career started but make no mistake, this is tough race to start off him off in.

I wanted to keep him close to home on a fair track. He’ll come on for the run, so whatever he does here will be improved on.

14:25 Newbury

Foxtrot Lady  ran very well at Kempton in a strong Listed race over a mile, but that was only 10 days ago so we are backing her up quicker than we’d normally like.

She’s effective at either seven furlongs or a mile and seems in good form, so we’re happy to take our chance. It would be great to win some black type with her at some point this season as she’s a lovely horse.

15:35 Newbury

Look Around  is very talented on her day and we’re just keen to get a run into her as we’ve been slightly stuck for options. She’ll want to go further in time, and this is a strong race, but she’ll improve for the run and if she were to get placed I’d be delighted.

Sunday

13:45 Goodwood

The race has cut up a bit which could be helpful for Spanish Angel.

He has done well over the winter and, barring a poor run at Chester, he was progressive as a two-year-old. If he puts his best foot forward, he’s the one they have to beat.

15:40 Doncaster

Grace and Danger has got some good placed form from last season, where she ran in listed company all year.

She seems to stay well, and the rain-softened conditions at Doncaster should suit, so I’m looking forward to seeing her run and getting her started for the year.
