Group One Power  was a good fourth at Ascot where I think it’s fair to say he didn’t get the best of passages.

He wouldn’t mind any rain that is forecast and should run his race again.

Youth Spirit ran very well on his debut Haydock, where he finished fourth, and I was pleased with that run.

He’ll want further in time, but he goes well at home and should give a good showing.

These Newmarket maidens are always so competitive and the Coventry third does set the standard.

This looks a good starting point for Fox Leicester , who can often have his own way of doing things.

He ran well over course and distance last term and was a good winner at Sandown over a mile.

It’s a wide-open race and there will be plenty of pace so he should be suited to the stiff seven furlongs.

Shailene is better than she showed at Ascot last time out. She made up an awful lot of ground in a hurry and probably wants to have more cover, so we’ll look for that in this race.
