The Betway ambassador previews his eight runners this weekend - at Doncaster, Chester and Lingfield on Saturday and Wolverhampton and The Curragh on Sunday.

Sunday runners

17:05 Wolverhampton

Cwynar 11/2 is in good form and, although she hasn’t run for a while, we’ve given her plenty of work and her fitness levels look good. She’s got course-and-distance form, too.

17:15 The Curragh

Night On Earth 11/2 goes to Ireland for the big Sales race.

They’re always a bit of a cavalry charge but he won nicely last time and we hope he can go well again. We’ve put a hood on him as he can be a bit keen and hopefully it’ll help him get the 6f.

Saturday runners

14:05 Chester

Morando 15/8 is in tip-top form at home – I’m delighted with him. He’s come on for his run at Newbury and his recent homework gives me the confidence that we might be able to turn the tables with Alignak.

Any rain will help as he does love to get his toe in.

14:25 Doncaster

Stone Of Destiny 16/1 has been unlucky this year – things have just not panned out for him.

He ran a really solid race at Sandown last time out and we’ve always felt a race of this nature would be within his grasp. As with most big-field handicaps, you just need a little bit of luck.

14:40 Chester

Be More 13/2 would appreciate any rain that might fall. She’s in great nick and I think she’s still fairly treated. She’s a course winner and always gives her best.

15:00 Doncaster

Shine So Bright 18/1 has taken a couple of runs to get back to his optimum fitness levels this year. For some reason, he’s just been tougher to get fit.

The drying ground will suit him and his work at home has been good, so we’re looking forward to seeing him go.

15:20 Lingfield

Shailene SP will love the ground and, while they’re all pretty closely matched on ratings, the mares’ allowance does help slightly. She’s tough and, on her best form, she should be competitive.

15:35 Doncaster

Berkshire Rocco 28/1  has been going very well at home and I couldn’t be happier with him going into the St Leger.

It’s a really deep renewal of the race but he has form that ties in with plenty of those at the head of the market. If he produces his best form – and what I know he is capable of – then he’s got a really good chance of making the frame.
