The Betway ambassador weighs up his Sunday chances, including one horse who will be getting their optimum conditions and another that looks the one to beat.

12:45 York

We run Top Drop SP in the Novice race. It looks a really hot contest for the grade, with three previous winners in the field.

He needs to run again to get a handicap mark which will help him as it will open up his options.

He’s got ability, so we’re hopeful of a nice showing though.

13:55 York

Symbolize 4/1 ran a cracking race in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, and it looks as though he’ll be getting his optimum conditions at York.

He’s a really smart horse who has some very good two-year-old form in the book, so I’m looking forward to getting him back out.

15:05 York

We threw Shadn (non-runner) into the deep end on her seasonal debut in the Commonwealth Cup, where we knew she’d be up against it.

She was a lovely two-year-old and she’s got some good placed form in the book from her first season.

15:25 Newbury

Fox Tal 11/4 was a big disappointment in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot.

Make no mistake about it, we thought he was one of our best chances of the week and that he was going to go very close, but he was way too keen, which never helped him.

Based on his fourth at Ascot in the Champion Stakes last year, he’s the one they’ve all got to beat, so I’m hoping he can reproduce that run and get his season back on track.
