The Betway ambassador previews his three runners at York over the first two days of the Ebor meeting, as well as two horses heading to Chester on Thursday.

Wednesday runners (York Ebor)

Kameko 4/1 runs in an all-star Juddmonte International (15:15) and, although he’s stepping up in trip, we couldn’t be happier with him at home.

He seems to have bounced out of Goodwood well, too.

If he stays the trip, he’s got every chance and we’re really looking forward to seeing him run again.

Berkshire Rocco 14/1 runs in the Great Voltigeur (14:45) on what is his first start since Royal Ascot, where he was second In the Queen’s Vase behind Santiago, which looks like strong form.

His break has been by design as we’ve always thought that the St Leger would be his big target. This is a really competitive race and I expect that whatever wins this will go off as favourite for the Classic at Doncaster.

He’s going well at home and is well equipped to run a good race.

Thursday runners (York and Chester)

Bonnyrigg SP could be reasonably well handicapped off a mark of 77 in the Stallions Nursey Handicap (16:20).

He was second first time up at Newmarket and then won on his second start back at the same track. He’s drawn nicely and I think he’ll appreciate the extra furlong.

Diocletian 8/1 was going to go for the Ebor Handicap on Saturday but it doesn’t look like he’ll get in.

As he’s in good form at home, we want to run him somewhere, and this race at Chester (17:25) looks like a nice opportunity. He’s won well at Chester before and does like to get his toe in, so the conditions should suit him well.

This is a nice chance for his owner and breeder to get some black type with him.

Spanish Mission 5/4 is very new to us having recently joined the yard but, by all accounts, he doesn’t want it too soft.

He’s got plenty of ability and we’re still learning about him, but we’ll make a call on his participation in the same race nearer the time.
