Shine So Bright  would really want it to dry up as his best form as been on top of the ground. I think he’d get away with it being on the soft side of good, mind.

He’s in great nick and goes well fresh, so we are be hopeful of a good showing. We’d be delighted if he were to get placed in such a hot race.

Stone of Destiny  is another whose ideal conditions would include better ground.

He had a nice run at Newmarket recently, which would have blown away any cobwebs, and he looks great.

His best run was over course and distance in the Commonwealth Cup, so we know he likes it here.

Soft ground wouldn’t be ideal for Nate The Great  on his first try at this marathon trip.

He’s a nice horse who has only had one run for us, but really, he’d prefer better ground.

14:15 Newmarket

We were disappointed that Wild Hero  didn’t win last season as we thought he was more than capable of doing so.

He’s been going nicely at home and, off this mark, he should be competitive.

18:25 Kempton Park

Recovery Run  is a nice horse who goes well at home.

Obviously, it’s a step into the unknown, as it often is with unraced horses, but we like what we see, so hopefully he’ll perform with credit on his first start.

Fox Duty Free missed the cut for the Britannia but he’s in good form and his fitness levels are where we want them to be.

Providing he settles well in the race, then he’s got a nice chance.

Mon Choix has an obvious chance based on his recent Lingfield second.

I’m glad this race has divided, as he wouldn’t have got a run otherwise, and he should go close.

Coltrane is an unraced horse but he’s rather lazy at home and that type is always tough to gauge.

He’s a lovely, fine looking horse, but this is a fact-finding mission for us.

Edinburgh Castle ran OK at Newmarket recently, but he needed the run and should come on plenty for that. He’s got an obvious chance and we’re hopeful that he’ll go close.
