Spanish Mission 10/1 has had this race as his main target ever since his victory in the Doncaster Cup last year.
He was a good at York last time, but I’m just worried about how much rain they could get over Ascot.
He’s a better horse on a sounder surface, so I’m hoping they don’t get too much rain before the Gold Cup (16:15).
Symbolize 20/1 is very versatile conditions-wise.
He’s a classy horse who is effective at Ascot, having run well here at two in the Windsor Castle – when he finished fourth – and at three in the Jersey Stakes, when he came third.
It’s hard to fancy horses in these big-field handicaps (18:10), but he’s in great form and I think with luck on his side he can go very well.
