Frankie Dettori had a fantastic Thursday last year and I think history could repeat itself, starting with HYPOTHETICAL .

A dominant display at Chelmsford on debut was followed by a fourth place in the Classic Trial at Kempton.

He was behind Berlin Tango (who finished third in the Hampton Court on Wednesday) and Pyledriver (who won the King Edward VII on Tuesday) – so that’s some very nice form for this week.

The Wolferton is up next and I’m going for an each-way chance on Ralph Beckett’s ALOE VERA .

She’s two from two after smart wins at Chepstow and Goodwood, the latter of which was a Listed triumph.

Nicely handicapped at 8-12 and with four places on offer, I think she could be in the mix.

The Jersey Stakes is next where I think we could be looking at another Frankie Dettori winner in KING LEONIDAS .

The colt has enjoyed two emphatic wins at Newmarket over 7f and 1m, suggesting Mark Johnston could have another very nice two-year-old on his hands.

As Betway are offering four places, I’d also have an each-way bet on MISTER SNOWDON  .

Trained by Richard Hughes, he’s also two from two and upset the well-fancied Enemy last time out at Yarmouth. He could sneak a place at a big price.

Pinatubo won the Chesham for Godolphin last year and I think they’ll repeat the trick with MODERN NEWS .

He won a nice race on debut at Newmarket, beating stablemate Noble Dynasty over 6f. The switch up to 7f should suit him and he’s the one I’d back.

I’ll keep this brief since this should be another Frankie Dettori winner and a third successive Ascot Gold Cup for STRADIVARIUS .

He was never expected to win the Coronation Cup – that was more of a warm-up for this race, which he should win comfortably.

If you’re looking for some each-way value, then I’d go for another Charlie Appleby and William Buick combo in MOONLIGHT SPIRIT  .

A four-length Group 3 victory at Longchamp last September was followed up by a runner-up to Technician, so he looks the next best bet to me.

Betway are donating all profits from the Britannia to charity, and it’s a race where I have two big fancies.

The first is HARRISON POINT  for Archie Watson.

He’s got some nice form (2115), and even that fifth was in a Listed race in France where there was not much more than a neck separating the first five. Hollie Doyle is in amazing form right now and could run on to place.

The other one I like is DANCE FEVER  , who is unbeaten having won three from three.

I think he could be a nice prospect for Clive Cox and I’m hopeful the colt will also be among the places.

We finish off with the Sandringham Handicap where we’re offering five places once again, so I have another two each-way punts.

The first Andrew Balding’s KALSARA  who has some nice form (512) and has really progressed since debut.

She was a runner-up behind Quadrilateral, who finished third in the 1000 Guineas, and, although it was by nine lengths, I still think that deserves some credit.

Bottom weight at 8-0 and with Raul Da Silva on board – a jockey who I believe is underrated – I’m optimistic that she can run a big race.

The other fancy is Dubawi filly ONASSIS   for Charlie Fellowes, who finally got off the mark last time out with a two-length victory at Newcastle after a few promising runs.

Hayley Turner usually has a shout in these big Ascot handicaps and perhaps this could be the one where she hits the line first.
