16:15 Ascot - Spanish Mission (each-way)

I felt Spanish Mission came of age in his victory at York last time out.

He’s always been a very talented horse, winning the Doncaster Cup – with plenty in hand – over 2m 2f last September.

That victory at York was a good performance and I think he could be a real force to be reckoned with over this marathon trip. My big concern is if they get all of the forecast rain and the ground turns soft, as I’m sure he’s better on a quicker surface.

18:10 Ascot - Volatile Analyst (each-way)

It was great to see Volatile Analyst win at York last time. He did it with such ease, too. It was a competitive race but it didn’t surprise me as he’d shown some very good form as a juvenile.

He’s clearly not been easy to train, and perhaps he didn’t have an ideal campaign last year, but he’s back in good form now. I think he could run very well.

18:10 Ascot - Symbolize (each-way)

I really like this horse. He always runs well at Ascot and wasn’t beaten far in the Victoria Cup last time.

He’s got plenty of class, as he showed when he was third in the Jersey Stakes last year, and I think he’s going to be very competitive in this handicap.

4 To Win selections

14:30 Ascot - Twilight Jet

A good winner last time, who won’t mind the conditions.

15:05 Ascot - The Rosstafarian

Has run well in two starts this season and this trip can bring out further improvement.

17:00 Ascot - Aerion Power

Won his last three and is improving. Could be a group horse in this handicap.

17:35 Ascot - Surrey Gold

Sluiced up last time and is at the right end of the handicap.
