With £50,000 up for grabs on day three of the Cheltenham Festival, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips to get you started.

14:10 PERTEMPS HURDLE

The Pertemps Hurdle is a really competitive race with a field of horses who have to have qualified by finishing in the first six in one of the qualifying races throughout the season.

There have been a few lost qualifying races this year due to abandonments, so some of the early season fancies have missed out.

A Great View  has made the cut, though, and has caught the eye based on his last two starts. Denis Cullen is a very shrewd trainer who doesn’t have the most horses but can certainly get them right on the day.

This is a horse than ran well on his only previous start at Cheltenham, which came in this race a few years ago when he finished behind Delta Work. He made a total hash of the second last hurdle and it really cost him several lengths and plenty of momentum, but he looks back to his best and ready for a big run here.

Relegate  is very well-handicapped, but she is prone to making a jumping error or two and if she does that, she will scupper her chances. With that said, if she has a clear round, she could just be different class to the rest of this field.

She went off favourite for a Grade 1 Hurdle in February 2019 on her last start for Willie Mullins and her new trainer Colm Murphy has been impressed with her recent work.

14:50 RYANAIR CHASE

The Ryanair has grown so much in popularity over the last five years that it’s now viewed in some circles as the feature race on day three. It’s always a superb race to watch with some superb renewals in recent years.

Vautour will probably go down as the most emphatic winner of this race of all time, and those famous Rich Ricci colours will be represented here by Min  , who was well beaten by Chacun Pour Soi last time out at Leopardstown in a race that suggested his optimum trip is over further than the minimum two miles. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding is one from three this season and, for me, just lacks that consistency that makes him a true grade one performer.

For that reason, I’ll have to side with A Plus Tard  , who could be winning races at any distance and on any ground. He’s full of natural talent and my mind keeps being drawn back to his success at the Cheltenham Festival last year in the Close Brothers Chase (now the Northern Trust Chase) where the time he recorded from the third-last fence to the line was just so quick. He’s got everything going for him and should take all of the beating.

At a much bigger price, Aso  always runs well at Cheltenham and if, he can reproduce last year’s second in this race, he’s sure to go well again.

16:10 BROWN ADVISORY AND MERRIEBELLE STABLE PLATE

The Plate has shaped up to be a proper race – one I’m really excited to watch.

There are plenty in with chances and plenty that could be dangerously well-handicapped.

Robin Des Foret  ran well over this course earlier in the season and has been campaigned for this race since.

Last year’s winner Siruh Du Lac  was pulled up on horrible ground at Cheltenham in November and has been kept fresh for this since. He’s a good jumper and a strong traveller.

No doubt his yard will have him spot on for a repeat bid.

Imperial Presence  is a massive price, but often runs well from the front and can give himself a big showing.

17:30 KIM MUIR HANDICAP CHASE

It is always worth looking out for the best amateur jockeys in the Kim Muir Chase. They’re worth their weight in gold and can be the difference in winning and losing.

Derek O’Connor rides Champagne Platinum  for Nicky Henderson and this stamina test will surely suit him. He’s not been overly eye-catching this season, but he’s on a handy mark now and could go well under the top amateur.

Plan of Attack  looks to still be improving and was a gallant third at Leopardstown last time out.

If he reproduces that form, he can go close under another top amateur jockey, Barry O’Neill.
