The opening leg of 4 To Win is the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap Hurdle over an extended 2m4f.

It is a race that Nicky Henderson has won twice in the last seven years. He saddles Colonial Dreams  who is having his first run of the season after ending the previous campaign with a very good success at Sandown in April when beating a competitive field.

He still looks feasibly treated off 138 and can go close at a racecourse where his trainer is often in the winners’ enclosure.

The Betway Mandarin Chase is run over 3m2f, and recent Haydock scorer Cobolobo  is one to keep on the right side of after Jonjo O’Neill Jr singled him out as the ride he’s most looking forward to over the festive period.

He was pulled up on his seasonal reappearance at Cheltenham when reportedly suffering with a breathing problem, but made amends next time out when a convincing winner over an extended 3m1f trip in soft ground.

He’s lightly raced and is steadily improving.

The Grade 1 Betway Challow Hurdle is the feature race on the card and all eyes will be on Thyme Hill , who has looked very smart in two hurdle runs this season.

He took the Persian War on his hurdles debut before backing that up with a convincing staying performance at Cheltenham last time out.

His connections said after that victory that this would be the plan before being freshened up for Cheltenham, so he’s sure to go close.

I do think, however, that Eclair Surf  is potentially very smart, and can follow him home.

The Betway Novices’ Handicap Chase closes the card and is the final leg of 4 To Win.

A field of 11 go to post for this Class 3 contest, with Nicky Henderson saddling three.

I’m rather sweet on Burbank , the mount of Jeremiah McGrath, as I’m sure he’ll relish stepping up in trip. I think his long-term aim will be the Ultima at the Festival, but he’ll have to win here to go up a few pounds in the handicap and give himself a chance of getting in.

He hasn’t been easy to train but has got class in abundance and, if he comes here in good form, is sure to give a good account of himself.
