Here are Alan Alger's top tips to get you started...
17.35 NEWMARKET
TOP PICK: SPIRIT OF SARWAN
Second choice: Pour La Victoire
This is a competitive mile handicap at HQ before we cross over to Newcastle and the live ITV races.
Barring bottom-weight Lone Voice, the field are all rated within 7lb of each other, while horses aged under five have dominated recently having won each of the last seven.
SPIRIT OF SARWAN was narrowly beaten in a similar race last week, but can reverse placings with Pour La Victoire here.
18.20 NEWCASTLE
TOP PICK: LOUJAIN
Second choice: Nuns Walk
This is a six-furlong handicap down Newcastle’s All-Weather straight track.
Course-and-distance winners Duke Cosimo and Katheefa will surely be popular and are towards the middle of the early market.
Nuns Walk is likely to go off favourite having been runner-up in her last trio of efforts.
But LOUJAIN is really interesting, having been dropped in trip after fading away over seven furlongs and a mile in his earlier races.
18.55 NEWCASTLE
TOP PICK: INEXES
Second choice: Rey Loopy
We’re back up to a mile trip for race three of the competition.
Party Fears Too will be popular, having won this last time, as will course regular Rey Loopy, who has won three of his last nine races here.
INEXES was disappointing when a beaten favourite at Hamilton last time, but this grey is due a bounce back to form and it could happen here with conditions to suit.
Two of his best performances were on an All-Weather surface at a mile and above.
19.30 NEWCASTLE
TOP PICK: INTENSE ROMANCE
Second choice: Atletico
Race four of the competition is over the minimum trip and will be won in just under a minute.
Likely favourite Atletico hasn’t ever been out of the first two when running on the All-Weather, although his last four races on the surface were all runner-up efforts.
He’s one of only three horses in this line up to have won at Newcastle.
The quirky nature of the track suggests we should pay close attention to him and the other two.
INTENSE ROMANCE is a filly with an unbeaten record at the venue and can make it five wins from five in this valuable contest.
