With £10,000 up for grabs on Saturday, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips for Sandown and Musselburgh to get you started.

15:00 Sandown

The Betway Heroes Handicap is a Grade 3 Handicap Hurdle over a trip just shy of three miles.

It’s an ultra-competitive affair, with a field of 17 declared to run in what will be very testing conditions.

The first on my list is the Fergal O’Brien-trained Ask Dillon , who showed up well for a long way in last season’s Ballymore Hurdle at the Festival.

The fact that his trainer even allowed him to run in that contest shows the level of regard he is held in, and he looks to have been campaigned around the big festivals this season.

He ran encouragingly on his only run this season at Chepstow in December, and Sandown’s stiff uphill finish will suit him down to the ground.

I’m a huge fan of Sophie and Christian Leech’s training operation.

I think they’re incredibly talented and seem to make good horses better after they’ve lost their way slightly.

They also are very good at placings their horses in the right races and I think they may have found a great opportunity for Clondaw Cian to run a big race here.

He’s got talent. He often does his best work late and this is the kind of race that will be set up perfectly to suit his riding style, which is to run past beaten horses.

15:15 Musselburgh

The Edinburgh National Chase is one of the biggest tests of stamina during the National Hunt season, as horses run 4m1f on a tight, speed-driven racecourse.

Despite having to carry top weight, it is possible that Carole’s Destrier  could pull it off.

He got tired late on in the Veterans’ Final last time out, but being ridden with more restraint could play in his favour.

He won a competitive race at Newbury in March 2019 off a mark that was just 3lb lower, and, if he’s still got his old zest, he could give Robbie Dunne a great spin.

Chic Name has been performing with great credit in Cross Country races, so can be competitive off his mark of 128.

15:35 Sandown

The Betway Masters Chase was won by Classic Ben  last year, and he takes his chance again off a mark that is just 1lb higher.

Stuart Edmonds' seven-year-old seems to attract plenty of market support with each run, and goes well each time he steps on to a racecourse.

He’s a good jumper and a dour stayer, both attributes suited to Sandown Park.

Another of interest is Paul Nicholl’s As De Mee , who has caught the eye on each of his three starts this season.

He ran over an inadequate trip of 2m4f at Wincanton last time and, as expected, did his best work late on, finishing a close third.

He ran very well in the Becher Chase before that, and looked like the winner before a few earlier mistakes took their toll.

He has won at Sandown Park before and is 2lb lower than his last winning mark, so everything points in the direction of a good run.

16:10 Sandown

The final race of the day at Sandown Park is the Heed Your Hunch at Betway Novices’ Handicap Hurdle, a race for horses rated 0-125 over 2m3f.

Gary Moore is often in the winners' enclosure at Sandown Park and it would be no surprise to see him back there after this race.

Iconic Muddle  has bumped into some very useful types in good novice races, but can make amends off his mark of 115.
