With £10,000 up for grabs on Saturday, here are Chad Yeomans' best horse racing tips for Ascot and York to get you started.

14:05 YORK

This is a Fillies’ Handicap over an extended 1m2f. Only seven have been declared for the 0-90 and Her Majesty the Queen’s horse Award Scheme  will be a popular selection.

She won very easily – albeit in a modest contest – last time at Newmarket and her trainer William Haggas’ yard is in great form.

I think Golden Hind  will also run a huge race for David O’Meara. She has only run twice in her career and finished second in both starts, with the most recent coming at Ripon in early July.

She was entered in the Musidora the day after that maiden and her connections chose the easier race, but that entry does tell you how highly she may be regarded at home.

She’s the most unexposed horse in the line-up but may have the most scope to improve. She gets heaps of weight from her rivals and could be well-treated off her mark of 74.

14:25 ASCOT

The International Stakes is a Heritage Handicap over the straight seven furlongs at Ascot and is simply a cavalry charge.

This isn’t the best renewal of this race that I’ve seen and it looks rather open.

The ante-post favourite all week has been Blue Mist  , but I’m still not convinced. He’s a five-year-old and has only managed two career wins – both came when he’s been priced 9/4, which shows that he’s been expensive to follow.

Ebury  is going to be a popular selection as the mount of Oisin Murphy. He’s finished sixth on both starts this season but ran with credit both times.

Eshaasy  is clearly improving, gets lots of weight from his rivals and has the services of young George Rooke on his back.

He was a good winner of a competitive handicap at Sandown a few weeks ago and if the draw has the same bias that it did at the Royal meeting in June, his high draw of 17 is going to be helpful.

Of the others, there are strong cases to be made for Keyzer Soze , Jack’s Point   and Shelir  , although none of them are drawn high.

15:15 YORK

This 0-105 handicap over a mile has a field of 9 runners declared and is a wide-open race. On natural ability alone, Elwazir  is the best horse in the race and was once considered to be a group one prospect by his connections.

He’s lightly raced, which suggest he’s had his problems, but this could be the kind of race he needs to win to get his career back on track. He’ll no doubt be a popular selection.

Of the others, Just Hiss   loves it at York and has dropped to a winnable mark. He gets lumps of weight from the those at the top of the handicap, including Silent Attack  , who has a real shout if he can reproduce his best all-weather form on turf.

16:10 ASCOT

This is a 1m4f Handicap for horses rated 0-90.

Mankayan  is slowly improving and has won two of his six career starts, including at Doncaster last time over this trip. Trainer Charlie Fellowes and jockey Stevie Donoghue are in fantastic form, which is an obvious plus.

Edinburgh Castle  didn’t stay 2m last time but had a chance two furlongs out and this drop in trip looks sure to suit him.

Despite only running six times in his career, he has shown promise on a couple of occasions and, with conditions set to suit him, he could run well off his mark of 78 for Betway ambassador Andrew Balding.
