Here is Chad Yeomans' best advice for claiming the jackpot on Friday...

The Strensall Stakes has a small field going to post, but it’s a very competitive affair, with all of the field in with a chance.

The current favourite is Wissahickon , who is having his first run back since being beaten in the Betway Easter Classic at Lingfield on Good Friday.

It appears he’ll have a few races this Autumn before a possible campaign on the AW again. Will he be geared up first time out?

You have to go back to 2009 to find the last time a three-year-old won the race, but there are two live chances this year: Betway Ambassador Andrew Balding’s Bangkok and Richard Fahey’s Royal Ascot Jersey Stakes winner Space Traveller .

14:25 YORK

Each year, the Melrose Handicap produces lots of group horses and this year will be no different.

It’s no surprise to see a John Gosden-trained horse at the top of the market and First In Line , who was so impressive at Doncaster last time out, bids to give the Clarehaven trainer his first victory in this race.

People have questioned the recent form of Aidan O’Brien’s yard and despite taking the Juddmonte earlier this week, plenty of his other horses haven’t live up to expectations.

But Eminence  is very consistent and can be relied on to run another solid race. He was third at Royal Ascot and third at Goodwood, but this may be more winnable for the Sea The Starts colt.

David Simcock’s horse Universal Order has done nothing wrong in three starts this term and should be right in the thick of it under Jamie Spencer.

The City of York stakes sees the return of the wonderful Laurens , who got back to winning ways last time in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville.

She was well beaten on her only start at York, though, which is something to take note of.

Eqtidaar is very interesting on his first run off the back of wind surgery. This horse won the Group One Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot last year and a return to that form would put him right in the mix.

15:40 YORK

The feature race of the week is the Ebor Handicap, which is now only a handicap in name - the top rated horse holds a mark of 113!

That horse is Withhold who keeps improving and putting in great runs, usually off large layoffs.

This has been the target for so many horses due to the huge prize money on offer, so it’s worth looking out for Raheen House , Mustajeer  and Raymond Tusk .
