Betway are proud to announce the inaugural Irish Guineas Festival Leading Trainer and Leading Jockey Championships, that will take place at The Curragh this weekend on 22 and 23 May.

Following our agreement to become the Official Betting Partner of the classic weekend, we have launched the first Jockey and Trainer championships, whereby points are allocated to the first, the second and the third placed horses in each race of the weekend. The points will be scored as follows:

Winner = 5 points

2nd = 3 points

3rd = 1 point

The leaderboard for the Betway Leading Trainer and Leading Jockey Championship will be uploaded and announced on our social media channels after racing on both Saturday and Sunday.

Which trainer and jockey will be the first to have their names engraved on the trophies this weekend?

Betway PR Manager Chad Yeomans said:

“We’re extremely proud to have partnered with The Curragh to become the Official Betting Partner of the Irish Guineas Festival, a very prestigious weekend in the racing calendar.

“To supplement our race sponsorship and official partner designation of the weekend, we have launched the inaugural Leading Trainer and Leading Jockey Championships. Points will be scored for a top finishing position of every race over the weekend and the leading trainer and jockey at the end of racing on Sunday will take home a personalised engraved trophy!”
