Betway, in conjunction with other operators in the industry, have pledged to donate profits from the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot to six chosen charities for the fourth year in a row.

The Britannia Handicap Stakes takes place at 17:00 on Thursday 22 June.

The initiative has the backing of our fellow Betting and Gaming Council members, and the BGC hopes it will help punters enjoy a race where, even if they lose, charities are guaranteed to win. All of the operators involved have agreed to make a donation of £250,000 to the six charities, even if they do not make a profit on the race. Last year, the sum of money raised was £1.2m.

Betway’s Head Of Communications and PR Chad Yeomans said:

“We’re truly delighted to be once again supporting this fantastic cause, initiated by the BGC and in partnership with the rest of the industry, where we will be donating all profits from the Britannia Handicap Stakes to six amazing and worthy charities.

“Over the past few years, these donations have raised millions of pounds and we’re very proud to play a part. Here’s to another successful race for the charities!”
