13:00 HAYDOCK

We begin with the Betway Abram Mares' Hurdle in an open Listed contest, though the one that has caught my eye is GLORIOUS LADY  .

Keith Dalgleish's five-year-old has been superb since her disappointing debut with three wins and three seconds from her last six runs.

She should relish the soft conditions and I think she’ll be right in the mix.

13:50 ASCOT

GOLDEN WHISKEY jumped really well last time out when victorious at Ffos Las and has a good chance here.

The six-year-old really powered home that day in heavy conditions and also put in a good round of jumping when third at Chepstow despite being hampered.

He's nicely handicapped at 10-7 and is proven over 2m2f so he's the one I'd plump for.

14:40 HAYDOCK

We have another Betway-sponsored handicap next where I like the look of LORD DU MESNIL  .

Trained by Richard Hobson, the six-year-old seems to have really clicked recently with narrow defeats at Stratford and Sedgefield before a hard-fought victory at Newcastle last time out.

He's proven himself in heavy conditions and has a big weight advantage over Vintage Clouds and Daklondike, so he's my each-way punt.

15:00 ASCOT

We'll finish off with the Silver Cup at Ascot, where I think KIDLISART can get back to winning ways.

Ben Pauling's seven-year-old had a really good season last year, with a victory at this meeting last year before finishing off with Grade 3 success in the Betway Handicap at Aintree.

He beat Mister Malarky by five lengths that day, despite being top weight, and had a nice warm-up on his seasonal reappearance when behind Lostintranslation and Count Meribel at Carlisle last month.

Nico de Boinville takes the ride for the first time and that only enhances his chances.

EACH-WAY LUCKY 15
