13.30 – JLT Novices’ Chase

With our money-back special offer, I’m going to take on the favourite here with SHATTERED LOVE .

Jack Kennedy and Gordon Elliott teamed up for two winners on Wednesday and they could be in for another here.

The seven-year-old comes into the race in fine form having won four from five over fences, including an impressive display to win a Grade 1 Chase at Leopardstown.

When this horse wins, he decimates the field, with three of his last four wins by 26, 10 and 7 lengths respectively.

Ruby Walsh’s injury means my ante-post bet on Jack Kennedy to be top jockey is looking good and, with five from five on board already, he’s a good price to ride another winner here.

14.10 – Pertemps Handicap Hurdle

I’ve had no luck in the handicaps this week, but I’m hoping WHO DARES WINS can turn that around.

Alan King’s versatile six-year-old was a decent third in last year’s Coral Cup and has since had a season on the Flat, with a big win in the Cesarewitch Trial and third in the Ascot Stakes in July.

He had his first run back over hurdles at Kempton in November and stayed on well to finish third over 2m 5f, so I think he has a good each-way chance.

Another to keep your eye on is SYKES for Nicky Martin. He’s a tidy nine-year-old who won really well at Ffos Las in November and followed that up as a runner-up on this course in the Citipost Hurdle a month later.

He’s proven to stay the distance and is also well-handicapped at 10-13.

14.50 – Ryanair Chase

I’ll keep this one short and sweet because it was my ante-post NAP of the week.

I simply cannot see how UN DE SCEAUX will be denied a remarkable ninth Grade 1 victory.

He’s won three from a possible four at Cheltenham, with his only defeat to Sprinter Sacre in the 2016 Betway Champion Chase.

He looks set to claim a hat-trick of victories in this race, but if he’s too short for you then maybe do the straight forecast with CLOUDY DREAM to finish second.

Ruth Jefferson’ eight-year-old has finished runner-up eight out of his last nine runs and has stayed with the best of them, including Native River, Altior and Fox Norton.

15.30 – Stayers’ Hurdle

I’m sticking with SUPASUNDAE and another of my ante-post bets here.

He won last year’s Coral Cup and has since run both Apples Jade and Yanworth close over three miles.

His performance to beat Faugheen in the Irish Champion Hurdle was brilliant and – provided he stays, which I think he will – he looks a good bet in the big race of the day.

16.10 – Plate Handicap Chase

In another big field, I fancy THE STORYTELLER to eke out some each-way profit.

After decent success over hurdles, he’s now switched to fences, and was impressive on debut at Fairyhouse in December when he easily beat Sutton Manor.

He’s finished a respectable third to Invitation Only, the favourite in the JLT Novices’ Chase, in January and is proven to stay over the 2m 4f.

The other one I like is course-and-distance winner KING’S ODYSSEY .

Trained by Evan Williams, the nine-year-old seems to relish the trip around Cheltenham, with three of his last four appearances on course.

He finished third in the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup in November and also put in valiant effort when also third in a Grade 3 Handicap Chase in January.

Adam Wedge has only finished outside the top three once on board so he looks a decent each-way punt.

16.50 – Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle

Despite such a short-priced favourite in the field, I really like MARIA’S BENEFIT here.

After a disappointing debut, she has excelled after winning five from a possible six, with the other a narrow second at Worcester last September.

Those victories include a Grade 2 triumph over Irish Roe in the Yorkshire Rose Mares’ Hurdle and also a Listed victory at Taunton by a monstrous 30 lengths.

The quick ground is a minor concern, but she has won on soft in her last two outings and looks a good bet to me.

17.30 – Kim Muir Challenge Cup

Remember that our offer has you covered if your horse loses in the final race of the day.

So, with that insurance, the one I would go for is SUGAR BARON .

After a long absence, he’s come back in style by finishing second on this course to What A Moment in November and then just lost out by a neck to Benbens at Sandown over 3m 4f.

He’s got good experience round this course and will have no problem staying the distance.

If you’re after some each-way value then maybe take a punt on Tim Easterby’s VERY FIRST TIME .

The six-year-old has impressed in his last three, including a novice handicap chase by six lengths at Newcastle and a runners-up spot to Acdc at Kelso on heavy ground.

Cheltenham is obviously a massive step up but, carrying 11-2 and with William Easterby’s 3lb claim on board, he might have an each-way chance.
