13.30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle

I’ve followed ENVOI ALLEN  constantly since his debut and I'm confident he’ll get the job done again here.

Last year’s Champion Bumper winner has won seven races in a row. He simply gets the job done.

I’ll be surprised if he’s beaten.

I do think SPORTING JOHN  is the next best in the field, having won three from three, so there’s your forecast bet.

14.10 RSA Chase

I’ve changed my mind so many times about this race, but have now settled on two each-way chances.

The first of those is BATTLEOVERDOYEN  for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell.

He’s won six of his last eight races, with those blips coming in last year’s Ballymore, where he was pulled up, and most recently as an uncharacteristic faller in the Flogas Novice Chase.

I think he’ll be fine over 3m and is slightly overpriced on what should be a huge day for Elliott.

The other one to keep your eye on is Colin Tizzard’s SLATE HOUSE .

He has course form having won here easily in October and looked like he was going to soar to victory before he fell two out in the BetVictor Gold Cup.

A huge win in the Kauto Star on Boxing Day is big form, and, if you ignore his last run, I think he’s a nice each-way bet.

14:50 Coral Cup

We’re paying six places in the Coral Cup and there are three runners I’ve picked out who should hold some each-way value.

The first is EGLANTINE DU SEUIL , who won the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at 50/1 last year when Champion Hurdle winner Epatante flopped.

He has some nice form having finished third in a Grade 1 behind Reverse Tank and also wasn’t far behind Story Ireland at Punchestown last November.

Rachael Blackmore won nicely on Honeysuckle on Tuesday and she could add to her account here.

My next fancy is TRAFFIC FLUIDE .

It looked certain that he was going to win the Betfair Chase last time out before he fell at the last and that would’ve been a victory over Cyrname.

I think what was more impressive was that it would’ve been a Grade 1 victory on his first run since November 2018, so having proven himself over course and distance he has to be an each-way player.

The final one I will give a shout to is CHAMPAGNE WELL .

He has had a string of impressive seconds behind Thyme Hill, Redford Road and Ramses De Teillee and is also a winner over course and distance.

That’s enough form for me to have an each-way punt.

15:30 Betway Champion Chase

I have a very nice ante-post bet on DEFI DU SEUIL - he’s been magnificent all season.

A solid win in the Shloer Chase, followed by back-to-back victories over Un De Sceaux, is pretty sensational form.

I know Chacun Pour Soi has beaten him at Punchestown but I just think this is Defi's race to lose now.

16:10 Glenfarclas Chase

I will keep this very brief.

Providing he finds no traffic, TIGER ROLL  will record a third win in a row in this race.

He absolutely loves Cheltenham, has unrelenting stamina and I think this will be his fifth Festival win.

If you really want an each-way punt then I think FACT OF THE MATTER  is slightly overpriced.

The veteran loves these races and won a Cross Country in December 2018, beating the likes of Josies Orders, Amazing Comedy and Ballycasey.

I am optimistic that he could creep into the top three.

16:50 Boodles Juvenile Handicap

Continuing the Elliott trend, I think ARAMAX  is going to be really tough to beat.

He was very impressive last time out when he romped to victory by eight lengths over Recent Revelations and Gin On Lime.

Proven over 2m, he’s definitely the one to beat.

The one I like as an each-way chance is LANGER DAN  for the Skelton’s.

He has some nice form so far this season (1122), with one of those seconds coming to Botox Has on this course in December. That is a huge form boost given how close he ran Allmankind in the Triumph Hurdle Trial.

At 25/1, he looks a solid each-way punt.

17:30 Weatherbys Champion Bumber

We finish off in the Bumper, where I have two each-way shouts on mares trying to upset Appreciate It.

The first of those is David Pipe’s PANIC ATTACK , who won brilliantly in her only race at Market Rasen thus far.

She only carries 10-4, which is an enormous advantage on the favourite, so I’m hopeful she’ll be up there.

The other who shouldn’t be ignored is Alan King’s GLANCING QUEEN .

She won a bumper here on debut and was also fifth in this race last year, behind very good horses (Envoi Allen, Blue Sari, Thyme Hill and Abacadabras).

A good win in the Aintree Grade 2 bumper capped off a nice end to the season and I’m hoping she can go well on her reappearance here.
