We’re so lucky to have a horse who is going to Cheltenham with a live outside chance. Sea Sessions  has been brilliant this season. I love the fact that she takes it all in. She takes travelling in her stride and doesn’t seem to mind it all. She’s eaten up well since she’s got to Cheltenham and she’s been striding out well, so it really is all systems go. I couldn’t be happier with her.

From my side, I’ve done my job with her as she’s in the best possible shape and form. It’s all down to her in the race now. Obviously, I’d be delighted if she were in the first six and anything better than that is a bonus. She’s been consistent this season and is a great mare to train. It’s going to be nerves and excitement until the race is over, but this is what we do it for.

The first day at Cheltenham is always a cracker. The Supreme gets us off to a flyer and the fact that Dysart Dynamo  and Sir Gerhard have been split up might suggest that the yard think Dysart Dynamo is the quicker horse of the two. That tells you something, as Sir Gerhard is no slouch.

The Arkle looks super competitive, but the mares’ allowance could be the difference for Riviere D’etel  . It does look wide open, though. You could throw a few darts and still get it all wrong.

The biggest story of the day for racing would be if Honeysuckle  won the Champion Hurdle for the second time. She’s just so good, isn’t she? I love the way she does things and could be even better this year. It would be great for all her connections to witness and be part of a real Cheltenham experience of walking back in with the crowds going wild.
