The Nursery Handicap over seven furlongs is a tough race. Multiple winners have been declared to run, but I think the value lies with a horse that is yet to find his way into the winner’s enclosure.

Power Station  ran an eye-catching race first time up at Sandown - he will have learnt plenty from his first outing.

He was then backed as if defeat was out of the question on his second start at Lingfield. He was always three wide and towards the centre of the track that day, but he stuck on well to finish third.

He then took his chance in the sales race that his stable mate Happy Romance won at York. After being outpaced early on, he stuck on well and kept going all the way through the line to finish ninth, beaten just over 6 lengths.

This step up in trip will be a huge help. He’s got a rating of 77 and certainly looks as though he could be competitive off it. I do think he could run into a place.

The Scarbrough Stakes is always a fast and fierce run over five furlongs.

Moss Gill was only beaten three lengths by Battaash in the Group 1 Nunthorpe at York last month, but was clearly the third-best horse on the day.

He strikes me as a horse that is still improving. He is two from four this season and could just be better than his rivals, most of whom he has beaten before.
