The Nursery Handicap has attracted17 runners and it looks a deep race.

There are some fillies who have run in some very competitive races and they are towards the head of the weights.

But one I feel is worth looking at is the twice-raced MEU AMOR  who you may remember as a horse I suggested to follow following her debut fourth at Goodwood.

She did improve enough to win a maiden race next time out and did so in the style of a horse who would appreciate further.

The additional almost half-furlong on a straight course could really be to her liking and her opening mark of 76, looks fair.

The £200,000 sales race is always a tough one to find the winner of.

It was won last year by Betway ambassador Andrew Balding and he has a superb chance of doing it again with IMPERIAL FORCE .

His first two runs were eye-catching, but he was then beaten at a short price at Haydock and, despite the race working out very well, that wasn’t his true running.

If he’s back to the sort of form that saw when he placed at Royal Ascot, he must go close.

I also think TITAN ROCK  will go well for John Quinn with Jason Hart in the saddle. He’s improved with each of his three career starts and finished a good fifth in the Acomb Stakes at York last time out, despite pulling hard early on in the race.

If he settles better, he’ll have a cracking chance of getting in the money.

I’m surprised to see ZIGGLE POPS  at such a big price.

He’s run better than that bare form has suggested in his last two starts and I’m inclined to put a line through his run at Ascot, where the soft ground didn’t suit him.

Prior to that, he ran well when he won a handicap at Lingfield in a race that has worked out very well. He’s been dropped in the weights to his last winning mark and I don’t think he should be the outsider of the field.

EASTERN WORLD  hasn’t looked the most straightforward and the application of cheekpieces will only back up that statement, but I’m looking forward to seeing him drop back in trip to seven furlongs. I think a fast run race will suit him.

Despite being the most inexperienced horse in the field, FRESH  is unexposed. He improved to win very well at in a competitive race at Kempton last time out and on his start prior to that, was beaten a neck by Starman, who won a listed race at York last weekend.

He looks like a typical Fanshawe improver who I’m sure will be well suited by a long straight track like Doncaster.

Although it's been a while between drinks for GUNMETAL , he has run well in better races than this. While he needs luck in running, he’s slipped down to a very attractive mark; a mark he has not been on since April 2017.
