4 To Win: The horses that could win you £10k on Friday
Chad Yeomans reveals his best horse racing tips for Cheltenham and Wolverhampton on Friday to help you win the jackpot in our free-to-play prediction game.
13:50 CHELTENHAM
Despite being rather disappointing at Prestbury Park last time, ON THE SLOPES should improve for that first run of the season.
He was progressive last year and his success at Kempton in March is a really strong piece of form. He has tended to get better with racing in each of his campaigns and I expect that recent pipe-opener to have put him spot on for this.
He won’t mind any cut in the ground so, if any of the forecast showers do materialise, his trainer Chris Gordon will welcome them.
Fanion D'estruval earned quotes for the Arkle following his British debut success at Newbury last November, but he was disappointing at Kempton in a Grade 2 in December.
He hasn’t been seen since but, if he’s fully fit first time up, he has plenty of class and talent and shouldn’t be overlooked.
16:05 CHELTENHAM
The Novices’ Handicap Hurdle looks a competitive race and is headed by ONE TRUE KING , who carries 12st in a bid to win off his mark of 127.
He’s always been highly thought of and is a chaser in the making, so you’d expect him to be able to carry big weights in his saddle cloth.
He was a narrow second at the October meeting at Cheltenham and shouldn’t be too far away again this time.
The Pipe team have always targeted this November meeting at Cheltenham and have had plenty of success over the years, too. It wouldn’t be a surprise if recent Uttoxeter scorer Panic Attack ran a big race for them. She is clearly improving and obviously has lots of ability.
She went off just 10/1 for the Bumper at the Festival and, if she keeps improving, you’d think she could be much better than her mark of 119.
At a massive price, Motashakel could outrun his odds. He’s consistent and always gives his best, but will need to brush up his jumping.
16:15 WOLVERHAMPTON
The “Read Katie Walsh On Betway Insider Handicap” is a 6f race around the bend at Wolverhampton and A GO GO , who is handily drawn in stall five, can further improve his fantastic record at the Midlands racecourse.
He has been in great form of late, winning two of his last four starts and, being a three-year-old, could still have improvement in the tank.
The veteran Englishman now looks feasibly handicapped off a mark of 60 and, if he gets into a rhythm, he could be very hard to peg back under Luke Morris.
16:45 WOLVERHAMPTON
The “Play 4 To Win At Betway Handicap” is another 6f sprint race and there is no doubt GARTH ROCKETT , who is seeking a hat-trick, will be popular - especially after his five-and-a-half length win at Chelmsford last week.
He has been put up another 9lb for that effort, which could hinder his progression further, though.
This time last year, Glasvegas was rated 97. After being campaigned in plenty of good races this season, he finds himself on a mark of 74 for his new trainer David Evans.
If the change of stable can spark a revival he is dangerously well handicapped, and any market move will be significant.
