There are five Flat meetings in the UK today plus one at Tipperary in Ireland where there is also a jumps meeting at Wexford. However, we stick to racing on the level for our three selections today, which all come in races for juveniles, including in the Listed feature at Tipperary.

MAJESTIC BEAUTY @ (Musselburgh 2.50)

WHISKEY PETE @ (Haydock 6.15)

DEEPONE @ (Tipperary 7.00)

Deepone to stay unbeaten

The Coolmore Stud Churchill Stakes (Listed) for two-year-olds is the classiest event on this interesting card and it features several interesting, improving types.

Bremen, Warnie, Brilliant and DEEPONE @  all won well last time but preference is for the unbeaten Paddy Twomey-trained last-named colt. His shrewd trainer resisted the temptation to go to Royal Ascot with him after he won impressively on debut at Leopardstown and waited for a conditions event at Killarney to run him again.

He won that 1m race in fine style despite racing keenly, having to make his own running and this slight drop back in trip will suit him well, with the prospect of a more genuine pace to aim at.

The ground is soft at the time of writing but it is drying out and that will be in his favour too. He is entered in several Group races and can take this under Billy Lee on his way to that company.

Majestic Beauty fo follow up

At Musselburgh, the Alice Haynes-trained MAJESTIC BEAUTY @  can follow up her Catterick maiden win in May by taking the British EBF Ruby Anniversary Novice Stakes over the same trip.

The form of that dominant win is strong, with the third home that day, Harvanna, winning twice since and is now rated 86. Incidentally, both are by a top sprinting sire in Havana Grey and our selection has been given time to mature between her races.

She receives 5lb from probably her main danger Sankari and can make the most of that under Rowan Scott to remain unbeaten.

Whiskey Pete to go one better

At Haydock, the oakflooringman.com EBF Novice Stakes for two-year-olds is probably the most interesting race on the card.

The Charlie Appleby-trained Age Of Time is a well-bred son of Dubawi who cost a whopping 800,000 Euros at a breeze-up sale and is well-touted but he might have to give best to WHISKEY PETE @

The Ralph Beckett-trained son of Night Of Thunder himself cost 180,000 Guineas at a breeze-up sale but has the benefit of a run under his girth, finishing an eyecatching second to another Godolphin-trained Dubawi colt in Aablan at Newmarket. That experience should stand to him here and the step-up to a mile will suit well, so he should be some value under Hector Crouch to overturn the likely Godolphin favourite this time.
