Gary O'Brien: I'll take a chance on Queens Brook
The Irish racing broadcaster runs through five races on the fifth day of the 2023 Punchestown Festival.

BIRCHDALE , who is having his first run in this sphere, is one I keep coming back to. It was only two months ago that he was a good fourth in good handicap at Dublin Racing Festival.
He was a very good horse back in the day when trained by Nicky Henderson, and I think he’s got a race like this in him.

I’ve got to say, I was a bit surprised to see Velvet Elvis running so soon after the Grand National.
I think SIR BOB is a horse who has a lovely racing weight and can go very well. He ran well in defeat at Fairyhouse last time and has already won here this season.

The Mares’ Hurdle is a good race. I’ll take a chance on QUEENS BROOK who wasn’t suited by the way the race was run at Cheltenham. I’d say they possibly need to make more use of her this time and that might give her more of a chance.

The Champion Four Year Old Hurdle is all about LOSSIEMOUTH . I’m not sure Gala Marceau will turn around the form from the Triumph, so I’d say she’d be winning again.
Enjoy The Dream would be my thought of a horse could improve to get placed.

I think the next race is a very competitive race. Risk Belle is the one to beat off the back of her success at Fairyhouse, but its slightly off-putting that Mark Walsh rides The Shunter instead.
With that in mind, I’m siding with AMBITIOUS FELLOW who, despite disappointing last time, had a genuine excuse and was very progressive before that.
Green Glory is another who could go very well off bottom weight.
